CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, February ~ 2002; at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number Two, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator, James E. Norman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Website Design and Hosting-GovDocs Presentation <br /> <br />Scott Burns, CEO of GovDocs, explained that GovDocs was proposing to provide the City with <br />basic website development as well as maintenance and hosting of the site. Secondly they were <br />proposing to include, as part of the website, a service called GovDelivery that would provide <br />information to residents via e-mail. Mr. Bums gave a brief presentation of the services they <br />would provide to the City. He explained that GovDocs would provide a basic level of website <br />maintenance, but the program will allow for each separate department to maintain the website <br />themselves. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen requested that Mr. Bums review the process someone would have to <br />go through to post meeting minutes onto the website. <br /> <br />Mr. Burns reviewed that process. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak noted that there is no cost to the residents for subscribing to the <br />GovDelivery service. <br /> <br />Mr. Burns replied that Ms. Kurak was correct. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that his past objection to the service was because of the cost <br />and requested a review of what the overall cost of the service would be and what was included in <br />that cost. <br /> <br />City Council/February 11, 2002 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
