BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramscy Board of Review conducted a meeting on Tuesday, April 18, 1989 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard Northwest, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember DeLuca <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Assessor Lester Wirz <br />Anoka County Deputy Assessor Gordy Starky <br />City Adminis~'ator David Hartley <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the Board of Review to order at 7:32 p.m. <br /> <br />BQARD OF REVIEW <br /> <br />Tom Roof- 14369 WaC0 Street - PIN #25-32-25-42-0012 - <br /> <br />Mr. Roof stated that he feels his assessed property valuation is higher than what he would be able to obtain on the <br />open market. A real estate agent gave him an appraisal of $179,000. He feels he should not be assessed for more <br />value than what he is able to sell the property for. <br /> <br />Jeanine Duff- 16400 St, Fronci$ Boulevard - 14-32-25-12-0013 - <br /> <br />Ms. Duff stated that she is primarily concerned with each years increase in valuation. This years assessed valuation <br />was $87,600 compared with $82,800 last year. <br /> <br />David Griffin - 14125 ArgQn S¢'eet - 25-32-25-34-0114 - <br /> <br />Mr. Griffin paid $74,000 for his home 10 months ago which is now has an assessed valuation of $80,900. He feels <br />that this is excessive, since the home was .just completed in 1988. Mr. Wirz stated that he was given credit for an <br />unfinished basement and a crawl space. <br /> <br />Richard W01ens- .6726- 13?th Avenue- 34-32-2542-0006- <br /> <br />Mr. Wolen's home was assessed at a value of $166,900. He paid $160,700 for the home nine months ago and feels <br />that the assessed value is too high and that the assessed value should only be $149,500. He also feels that the means <br />by which the values are arrived at are incorrect. It is his opinion that the assessed value should be the same as the <br />sale price. <br /> <br />John H¢ine,n - 6730 - 143rd Lane - 26-32-25-32-0028 - <br /> <br />Mr. ttcinen feels that his property valuation of $99,400 is excessive. He stated that he has been attempting to sell <br />his home for quite some time and is unable to do so because of the proximity to the landfill and being very close to <br />commercial property.
