CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number Two, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator, James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 8:33 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Stormwater Assessment Policy <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that there are instances where the City is assessing the cost to <br />the benefited properties and in other circumstances the City has included in the C.I.P. that the <br />City will be paying the entire cost. He stated that if the City has a written policy then he would <br />like to review it, and if there is not a written policy than he felt that one should be written. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that if the City is going to assess property owners in one area of the City <br />they should be doing the same throughout the City. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson explained that there is a storm water management fund, and a storm water <br />utility fund. He explained that the storm water management fund is similar to the sanitary and <br />sewer trunk charge. He inquired if the Council wanted staff to set-up a separate district for each <br />drainage district. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that they need to have some type of policy in place. <br /> <br />City Council/April 16, 2002 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
