Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-01-003 RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT TO SAUTER & SONS, INC. FOR MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS IN GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK WHEREAS, on May 8, 2001, the Ramsey City Council approved awarding the bid to Sauter & Sons in the amount of $40,520.00, for the removal of miscellaneous concrete rubble that was encountered as 143rd Avenue NW was being constructed; WHEREAS, on August 14, 2001 City Engineer Brian Olson inspected the completed work and recommended first partial payment to Sauter & Sons, Inc. for the removal of concrete rubble in the amount of $20,260.00. WHEREAS, January 8, 2002 City Engineer Brian Olson inspected the completed work and recommended second and final payment to Sauter & Sons, Inc. for the removal of concrete rubble in the amount of $20,260 00; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that: 1. The City Council hereby authorizes payment to Sauter & Sons, Inc for one half of the invoice for removal of concrete rubble expenses in the amount of $20,260.00 on January 8, 2002. 2. The City Council authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3. That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of January 2002. 4. That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be pr6vided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Kurak And the following voted against the same: none And the following abstained: none
