Councihnember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-01-022 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0597 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-l, SINGLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL, B-1 BUSINESS AND B-2 BUSINESS TO R-3U MULTI FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 14, 2001, the City of Ramsey (the "City") received an <br />application from Edina Development, Inc. to rezone certain property in accordance with Section <br />9.03.03 (Zoning Amendments) of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Edina Development, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly applied <br />to rezone the following legally described property from R-1 Single Family Residential, B-1 <br />Business, and B-2 Business to R-3U Multi Family Residential: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying westerly of the center <br />line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; and <br /> <br />That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying north of the South <br />413.75 feet of said Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and lying <br />westerly of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; and <br /> <br />That part of the South 413.75 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest <br />Quarter of Section 24, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying <br />westerly of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of <br />the City Code on January 3, 2002, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br />minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately 25 acres in size. <br /> <br />That the proposed rezoning is located within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) <br />boundary. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is currently zoned R-1 Single Family Residential, B-1 Business, <br />and B-2 Business.
