Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-01-023 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPOINTMENT OF OFFICER SHELDON ERDMAN <br />TO INVESTIGATOR ASSISGNMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 22, 2001, the City Council authorized the promotion of one <br />patrol officer to a Corporal assignment in 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Corporal assignment was filled by Officer Brad Paplham who <br />previously served as an Investigator; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a vacancy was thereby created in January 2002 and the need for an <br />Investigator was posted internally; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one patrol officer expressed interest in the assignment and was <br />recommended by the First Sergeant and Police Chief for the assignment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its January 22, 2002, meeting agreed with the <br />staff recommendation to appoint Officer Sheldon Erdman to the Investigator assignment with <br />additional compensation at a monthly rate consistent with the Law Enforcement Labor Services <br />(LELS) union contract. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to appoint Officer Sheldon Erdman to the Investigator assignment <br />with additional compensation at a monthly rate consistent with the Law Enforcement <br />Labor Services (LELS) union contract. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
