• <br />Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />#01 -01 -021 <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSAL TO EXTEND <br />THE CENTER MEDIAN ON THE EASTERN LEG OF THE INTERSECTION OF <br />COUNTY ROAD #116 WITH TRUNK HIGHWAY #47. TO PROHIBIT LEFT TURNS <br />INTO AND OUT OF RIVERS BEND PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER. <br />WIIEREAS, there has been a high incidence of traffic accidents caused by left turning <br />movement from into and out of the Rivers Bend Shopping Center onto County Road #116; and <br />WHEREAS, traffic surveys suggest that traffic is utilizing Waco Street N.W., a <br />residential street, as an alternate route for Trunk Highway #47, and that the shopping Center <br />entrance onto County Road #116 provides an outlet facilitating this cut through traffic. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Administrator is hereby directed to schedule a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, February 13, 2001 to solicit input on the above proposal. <br />2) That individual notices of the public hearing be sent to City property owners east of Trunk <br />Highway #47 and south of 153' Avenue N.W. <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
