Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # 19-023 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING POLICY CHANGES TO THE CITY'S CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, throughout 2018, the City Council responded to multiple inquiries regarding <br />the length of time it takes to resolve nuisance properties; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed options for improvement while maintaining the <br />current complaint -based approach on November 27, 2018 and December 11, 2018. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Approval of policy changes to the City's Code Enforcement Program as indicated in <br />Exhibit A attached hereto. <br />2) Staff is not authorized to be proactive in code enforcement along Highway 10 and <br />Highway 47. <br />3) Staff is authorized to be proactive in code enforcement along the Mississippi River and <br />Rum River. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
