On Wednesday, April 3, Assistant Fire
Chief Bart Hayft passed away after a two-year battle with cancer. He is
survived by his loving wife, his two sons, a brotherhood of firefighters and
the Ramsey community. Bart served the communities of Ramsey and
Nowthen for 12 years as a paid on -call firefighter and was appointed
Assistant Chief of Station 3 in 2014. His greatest achievement was
successfully securing the grant for the department to receive a new fire
truck. Ramsey Fire Station 3 now has Fire Truck 31 thanks to his hard
work. During his celebration of life, that Fire Truck 31 carried him to the
church. We are grateful for his dedication and service to the community.
May he rest in peace.
ASSISTANT CHIEF
BART HAYFT
SERVING RAMSEv 2006 - 2019
