May/June • 2019 <br />Brookside Elementary Opens its Doors <br />to Students This Fall <br /> In 2017, the Anoka-Hennepin School Board unanimously voted to approve bond <br />million referendum to address future facility needs for students that would create: <br />• Safe and secure learning environments through the removal of portable class- <br />rooms. <br />• Construct additional schools and classroom space where student populations <br />• <br />• Address class sizes at all levels — elementary, middle and high school. <br /> <br />schools and the construction of two new elementary school buildings – one of which <br />is currently under construction in Ramsey called Brookside Elementary. <br /> Brookside will be open for the start of the 2019-20 school year and will feature <br />Currently, 790 students are scheduled to be enrolled there and the school has a max- <br />imum capacity of 1,200.
