ORDINANCE #05-03 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA cOUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.20.11 (R-1 RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT - RURAL DEVELOPING) OF THE CITY CODE <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />9.20.11 (R-1 Residential District) shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />9.20.11 <br /> <br />R-1 Residential District <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Intent. The intent of this district is to accommodate <br />single family dwelling units on suitable land in the 2020 Metropolitan Urban Service <br />Area (MUSA), rural developing, central rural reserve area, and rural presmwe areas of the <br />City. All newly created lots, except the remnant of a lot of record not less than five (5) <br />acres in size and located within the 2020 MUSA, shall be serviced by sanitary sewer and <br />municipal water. All developing lots located within the rural preserve and central rural <br />prcserve areas shall be served with individual septic systems and wells. For the Rural <br />Developing Area, it is the intent of. this section to require lot clustering in order to <br />preserve land for potential urban development at some point in the future. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Permitted Uses <br /> <br />a. Single Family detached dwellings <br /> <br />Agriculture, excluding the raising of livestock, poultry, and fowl <br />within the MUSA boundary unless compliance with Ramsey City <br />Code Chapter 5 (Animal and Fowl) can be maintained. <br /> <br />c. Public parks, Municipal Fire Station. <br /> <br /> Single Family/Townhome units as part of a PUD located within the <br />2020 MUSA. PUDs shall be designed in accordance with R-2 <br />Residential performance standards established in Section 9.20.12. <br /> <br />e.
