On Saturday, May 4, the City hosted a Spring Recycling Day <br /> event for residents to properly recycling a number of items that are not accepted through the <br /> curbside recycling program. Materials accepted included motor oil, oil filters, antifreeze,textiles, <br /> carpet, carpet padding, scrap metal, tires, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, electronics, mattresses/box <br /> springs, appliances, and cardboard. Free paper shredding was also available to assist residents <br /> with recycling sensitive documents. There were approximately 400 vehicles that came through <br />
