<br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a special work session on Tuesday, July 18, <br />2000, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairperson Leo Anderson <br /> Commissioner Chris Dempsey <br /> Commissioner Bill Kociscak <br /> Commissioner Michael Nixt <br /> Commissioner Michael Reeve <br /> Commissioner Robert Johnson <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Joe Wivoda <br /> <br />Also Present: Community Development Assistant Megan Wald <br /> City Attorney Bill Goodrich <br /> Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> Loren Gordon/Consultant Hoisington Koegler <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the special work session to order at 6:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt and seconded by Commissioner Dempsey to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nixt, Dempsey, Kociscak, <br />Reeve and Johnson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Wivoda. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Work on Drafting a Density Transition Ordinance <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that in 1997, the residents of Ramsey voted to make some <br />amendments to the City Charter to add a Chapter 14. At this time, the City Council is intent on <br />seeing that these Charter provisions become a permanent part of the City’s zoning regulations. In <br />order to accomplish that, the City Council directed staff to put the Charter language into <br />ordinance format and submit it to the Planning Commission for a public hearing.
