Councihnember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION//05-01-017 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONSIDERING RATIFICATION OF THE HIRING OF PATROL <br />OFFICER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the 2005 budget, Council authorized the addition of two patrol <br />officer positions, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one Patrol Officer position was filled in October of 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at their regUlar meeting Of December 14, 2004, City Council authorized the <br />recruitment of 2005 positions and the hiving of a Patrol Officer from the existing eligibility list, <br />with ratification at the first regular meetirig in January. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council confirms the recommendations of the Personnel <br /> Committee to do the follOwing <br /> <br />Ratify the hiring of James Bonine~ as a Patrol Officer at an hourly wage of $19.05 based <br />upon successful completion of criminal:and driver's license background checks, reference <br />checks, passing a pre-employment physical, drug screen, physical agility test and a <br />psychological examination. Mr. Bonine's official start date was January 3, 2005. All <br />other personnel policies will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Counci lmember Pearson <br />Councihnember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Counci hnember Olson <br />Councihnember Strommen <br /> <br />and thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
