CITY couNciL WORK SESSION <br /> CITY OF .RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MiNNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City CoUncil Work Session on Wednesday, January 19, <br />2005, at Ramsey City Hall, 15153 Nowthen B0ulo, vard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> Councilmember David Elvig <br /> Councilmember Dayid Jeffrey <br /> Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br /> Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> Councilmember S~ah Strommen <br /> <br /> Councilmember Todd Cook <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />City Administrator james E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance OffiCer Diaiqa Lund <br />DireCtor of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Community Development Director/HRA <br />DireCtor Sylvia Frohk <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br /> <br />Executive <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work SessiOn to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Tile agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced the adult bookstore has been temporarily closed due,to violations. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Municipal Center Project <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman reviewed that a Facilities Committee for the Municipal Center <br />project was created last year and the City Council authorized design of a new facility. He <br />indicated plans for the Municipal Center are nearing final design and the project could be bid the <br />end of April or May. At a recent meeting of the Economic Development Authority, it became <br />apparent that the City Council has not given formal action to proceed with the project.
