ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Economic Development Authority (EDA) conducted a regular meeting on <br />September 17, 2001, at Ramsey Fire Station No. 2, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Kenneth Wagner <br />Susan Anderson <br />Julie Blaha <br />Christopher Riley <br />Lydia Scheiber <br />Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />John LeTourneau <br /> <br />James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner called the regular meeting of the EDA to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Anderson and seconded by Riley to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Members Anderson, Riley, Blaha, Scheiber, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: LeToumeau. <br /> <br />EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Star Exhibits Development Update <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that Star Exhibits and Environments of Brooklyn Center <br />have agreed to move their operation to Ramsey's Sunfish Business Park, formerly the Waste <br />Management property. Star Exhibits and Environments is a trade show exhibits manufacturing <br />and insulation company that currently employs approximately 80 employees and will operate <br />with over 100 in their new facility. The company plans to construct a 185,000 square foot <br />facility that could be expanded in the future. <br /> <br />The EDA briefly discussed the business end.
