CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on January 25, 2001, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Susan E. Anderson Councihnember Terry Hendriksen Councihnernber Patti Kurak Councilmember Gerald Zimmennan Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik Senior Planner Patrick Trudgeon Loren Gordon, Hoisington Koegler Group, inc. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the work session to order at 6:00 p.m. APPROVE AGENDA Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. The Mayor proposed that the work session be adjourned by 8:00 p.m. COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION #1: Density Transition Ordinance City Administrator Norman introduced the proposed density transition ordinance with revisions suggested by Council and staff. Loren Gordon from Hoisington Koegler Group inc. introduced the 1/25/2001 Density Transition document for Ramsey. He explained the map of the City of how the Density transitioning would apply indicating that where there is an overlay portion that is the proposed density transitioning for the City. He also explained that this document could be used as a City policy that would determine where, when and how density transitioning would occur. Ordinance language could be developed that would defer to this density transitioning document and be applied to appropriate property.
