CITY COUNCIL <br />WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on January 25, 2001, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councihnember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councihnernber Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmennan <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Senior Planner Patrick Trudgeon <br />Loren Gordon, Hoisington Koegler Group, inc. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. The Mayor proposed that the work session <br />be adjourned by 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />#1: Density Transition Ordinance <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman introduced the proposed density transition ordinance with revisions <br />suggested by Council and staff. <br /> <br />Loren Gordon from Hoisington Koegler Group inc. introduced the 1/25/2001 Density Transition <br />document for Ramsey. He explained the map of the City of how the Density transitioning would <br />apply indicating that where there is an overlay portion that is the proposed density transitioning <br />for the City. He also explained that this document could be used as a City policy that would <br />determine where, when and how density transitioning would occur. Ordinance language could <br />be developed that would defer to this density transitioning document and be applied to <br />appropriate property.
