CITY COUNCIL <br />'CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator, James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 6:20 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 2001 Objectives and Work Plan <br /> <br />The Council began reviewing the 2001 objectives and work plan. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the issue of record keeping and staff indicated that they were in the <br />process of determining the equipment that would be needed and noted that the Council did <br />authorize the hiring of a Clerk II to handle the record keeping. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he did not think that the meeting minutes needed to be verbatim, that <br />they only needed to include the motions and facts. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied that if there is a contentious issue over what was intended by <br />a motion it is beneficial to go back and review the minutes as to what was said during the <br />discussion to determine the intent. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to continue working with development of a recording keeping <br />system. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the Council previously discussed preparing the agenda <br />for Thursday delivery, but he did not recall affirmatively ruling that out. <br /> <br />City Council/March 27, 2001 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
