WORK SESSION <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Monday, April 30, 2001, in Fire Station <br />No. 2, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />Facilitator Larry A. Bakken <br /> <br />CALLTO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the Council work session to order at 5:50 p.m. <br /> <br />MEETING WITH FACILITATOR <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman introduced Larry Bakken who has been hired to help Council reach <br />some agreement on the Comprehensive Plan. He noted there are two major issues - density <br />transition and the Comp Plan. He reminded Council that Mr. Bakken had previously worked <br />with the City (spring 1999). He summarized Mr. Bakken's experience and informed Council <br />that he (Bakken) would be meeting individually with the members also. Mr. Norman <br />summarized for Mr. Bakken the Comp Plan process. <br /> <br />Each Councilmember was given an <br />feelings/concerns/desires for the Comp Plan. <br /> <br />opportunity to tell Mr. Bakken their <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 3-Ring Binders for Council Agenda Packets/Thursday Agendas (2001 Work Plan) <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Moore-Sykes reported on the cost of Council getting bound (with <br />the blue, glue-bound covers) copies of the Council agenda. At a cost of $2.50 to $2.69 a piece, a <br />case costs $768. She stated that Administrative Services has been discussing introducing <br /> <br />Council Work Session - April 30, 2001 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
