CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station #2, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator, James E. Norman <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lurid <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Fire Station II Liquidated Damages <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler inquired as to how the Council would feel in regards to a <br />meeting between the City Council and Ebert Construction to discuss the liquidated damages with <br />regard to Fire Station No. 2. A letter was presented to the Council from S.E.H. regarding the <br />liquidated damages which indicated that the amount of liquidated damages should be reduced by <br />$5,000. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what the architect's justifications were for the $5,000 <br />reduction. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler replied that the architect pointed out the following three items <br />that were additions to the contract: <br /> <br />1) The request that the north wall of Hall 103 be sheet-rocked <br />2) The extra door in storage room 129 for City Council needs <br />3) The request that bowstring trusses in apparatus be painted. <br /> <br />City Council/May 15, 2001 <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
