<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-016 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION <br />ON FEBRUARY 9, 2021 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special Election on Tuesday, <br />February 9, 2021; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for <br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the hourly rate of pay will be $10.08 for election judge trainees, $10.08 for <br />regular election judges and $11.00 for head judges; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />when necessary,regular City staff working as judges on election day will be <br />paid their normal hourly wage. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Special <br />Election to be held on February 9, 2021: <br /> <br />Susan Brockman, Katherine Dague, Colleen Graber, Timothy Graber, Andrea Hillebregt <br />and Louise Kvick. <br /> <br />2) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as head judges for the Special <br />Election to be held on February 9, 2021: <br /> <br /> Billie Jo Bishop, Richard (Scott) Cords, Vicki Hermann and Deb Koepsell. <br /> <br />3) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here <br />should the need arise. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Woestehoff, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br /> <br />
