FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />]'he Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at <br />Ramsey Fire Station #2, 15010 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief l<apler called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Thcre were nineteen fire fighters in attendance. There were no additions to the agenda. <br /> <br />MONTItLY REPORTS <br /> <br />7RAINING <br /> <br />Chicf Kapler reviewed the Training Report. <br /> <br />· February training included A vs. B Company, a Hazemat Right to Know and OSHA and the <br /> Firetighter. The make up class for Hazemat Right to Know will be done as a group. <br /> <br />· March training includes a ChieFs Water/Hydrant Drill, Oxygen/Air Way, and mandatory <br /> Agility Testing. <br /> <br />April training includes Grass Fire Preparations, Extrication with Medics Training and RIT <br />training. Firefighters who do not attend the RIT training classes will not be allowed to <br />participate in RIT mutual aid calls. <br /> <br />· Beginning in April the location of training, as well as monthly meetings will switch between <br /> Station #1 in the odd months and Station #2 in the even months. <br /> <br />· State Schools are still available, information is on the board at Station #1. <br /> <br />Late summer or early fall the Department will participate in a three class Confined Space <br />Training. The Department has a mutual aid contract with Andover Fire Department and they <br />have equipment available. <br /> <br />MA.IOR MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Chief Kapler reviewed the Major Maintenance Report. <br /> <br />· A new heat gun is in service in Engine #2. <br /> <br /> <br />
