FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, <br />at Ramscy Fire Station # 1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />(IALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chict~ Kapler called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />3'here were twenty-two firefighters in attendance. There were no additions to the agenda. <br /> <br />MONTllLY REPORTS <br /> <br />7 'RAINING <br /> <br />()fficer l,ecy reviewed the Training Report. <br /> <br />· October training included Ladder Truck Training, Peds/OB, first of three Terrorism Drills, <br /> Basic Consideration, and Major Maintenance. <br /> <br />· November training includes Terrorism Tactical Consideration, the second of three Terrorism <br /> Drills, and Crime Scene. There will not be a drill November 26th. <br /> <br />· December training includes the final Terrorism Drill, Terrorism Incident Management, and <br /> Jeopardy with Medics Training. Officers will provide a meal at the December business <br /> mccting. <br /> <br />° Firctighters discussed enhancing the medical training with an additional certification to start <br /> IVs and to incubate. Re-certification would be every three years. It would work like the <br /> I~MT, where firefighters are not required to obtain the certification. <br /> <br />MA.IOR MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Chief Kapler reviewed the Major Maintenance Report. <br /> <br />· There is an adequate foam supply at both stations. Thirty gallons of foam was ordered for the <br /> ladder truck. <br /> <br />· New nozzle for Grass #1 will be here soon. <br /> <br />· 'l'hc engine nozzles were switched. <br /> <br />· Rescue #2 has generator problems. The light has been repaired. <br /> <br /> <br />
