FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, January 13, 1999, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief Kaplcr called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />There xverc twenty-four people in attendance. There were no additions to the agenda. <br /> <br />The next officer's meeting will be Tuesday, February 2, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. There will be a <br />quarterly Snnday officer's meeting. <br /> <br />The 1999 Officer Selections are Bob Simpson, Captain #11, Jon McLaughlin, Lieutenant #1, and <br />Ron Lcmm, Training Officer. Chief Kapler was concerned that there was not a lot of interest in <br />the positions and would like to do some informal interviews as to why fire fighters were not <br />interested in applying. <br /> <br />MONTI II,Y REPORTS <br /> <br />7 7?AINING <br /> <br />Ron Lcmm reviewed the training. <br /> <br />Jannary 6th was Foams Class A and B, January 20th will be Heat, Cold and Burns, and <br />January 27th will be SCBA Fit Test with Right to Know. The SCBA Fit Test with Right to <br />Know is a mandatory drill and if not able to make it on the 27th it will have to be taken at <br />another Fire Department. <br /> <br />· A training group will be formed to work on a two-year plan of mandatory training. The <br /> group will meet the Sunday before the general business meeting at McDuff's. <br /> <br />Brain Abbott started First Responder. <br /> <br />° Fire fighters should have their copies of last year's training. The current year's training will <br /> be all that is kept on the computer. <br /> <br />Mandatory training include Blood Borne Pathogens, CPR Refresher (every other year), Pump <br />Operator, Defibrillator Refresher, and Agility Testing (every other year). <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Chief Kaplcr reviewed major maintenance. <br /> <br /> <br />
