FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramscy Fire Department conducted an officers meeting on Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at the <br />Ramscy Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />CAIiL TO ORDER <br /> <br />(~,hicf Kapler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:02 p.m. <br />There were five officers, Paul Minear and Greg Ostrum in attendance. <br /> <br />The next officer's meeting will be Tuesday, July 6, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. The August officer's <br />meeting will be a Sunday meeting and will take place Sunday, August 8, 1999 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Duty officers for June will be Jon McLaughlin and Chris Weiss. <br /> <br />SA FETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· Things on the floor need to be picked up. Hang up gear if it is on the floor. <br /> <br />· Proper gear needs to be worn at wild fires. <br /> <br /> Discussion took place as to what type of goggles should be used during extrications to <br /> protect the eyes fi'om foreign bodies. It was decided to order three sets of goggles and to tie <br /> them on to a piece of equipment, making their use as convenient as possible. <br /> <br />· It was suggested that at a illegal burn a police officer should stay at the scene until the fire <br /> fighters are done. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Attorney Bill Goodrich will serve papers this week. <br /> <br /> Thc appraisal has been ordered. <br /> <br /> A survey has been ordered and Hawkinson Anderson will be contracted for this. <br /> <br />° A time frame for completion has not been set, however the key now is to get the survey done. <br />ENGINE #3 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Bids were received from five of the nine companies who received the specifications. <br /> <br />° l~rices varied from $208,000 to $245,000. <br /> <br /> <br />
