FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted an officers meeting on Tuesday, July 6, 1999, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />CAI JL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief Kapler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:08 p.m. <br />There were seven officers and Paul Minear in attendance. <br /> <br />The next officers meeting will be Tuesday, August 3, 1999 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Duty officers for July will be Tom Hoxter and Jim Sharp. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br /> Heat exhaustion is a concern at this time of year. Refreshments should be brought in. <br /> Jackets could be taken off. OSHA has no requirements outside of the building. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPDATE <br /> <br /> The survey is completed. <br /> <br />· There is a budget overrun of between $300,00 to $400,000, which is equivalent to a 26% <br /> increase. To help with the overrun, the berming and screening could be done by the <br /> Department. This could save approximately $110,000. <br /> <br />· Papcrs have been served to the landowners. Their attorney talked with Bill Goodrich and <br /> would like to do direct negotiations. <br /> <br />· The :first of the year for completion is still a reality. <br /> <br />ENGINE #3 UPDATE <br /> <br />· The contract has been signed and a $140,000 deposit has been made. <br /> <br />· There will be three visits to the manufacturer. First, when the chassis arrives, second, right <br /> before the body is painted and third, to see the finished product. <br /> <br />· The truck should be completed in two months. The company will pay the Department <br /> $3,000 per month for use of the truck as a demo, with restricted mile usage. <br /> <br /> <br />
