FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramsey Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Tuesday, October 3, <br />Z000, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chief Kapler <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter <br />Officer Lemm <br />Officer Sharp <br />Officer McLaughlin <br />Officer Weiss <br /> <br />(:ALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />C. hief Kaplcr called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Thc next officer's meeting is scheduled for Sunday, October 29, 2000. <br /> <br />Duty officers for October are Assistant Chief Hoxter and Officer Weiss. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· When at fire scenes firefighters should approach the fires with the fire line charged. <br /> <br />Boots need to be rinsed off before stored, otherwise at the next use the floor gets black. This <br />could be done at the fire scene also; the Department will look into purchasing a boot scrubber <br />to mount outside the station. <br /> <br />ENGINE #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler and Officer Simpson went to the Fridley Department to see the cabinet on one <br /> of their engines, it is not the same as what is wanted in Engine #2. <br /> <br />· The strainer is installed on the hard suction hose. <br /> <br />· Engine #2 is going in for repair on Thursday. <br /> <br />· 'Phc gas fan is. <br /> <br />OLD ENGINE #2 <br /> <br />· Thc engine is ready to be listed for sale in publications. Assistant ChiefHoxter and Officer <br /> McLaughlin will check publications for advertising. <br /> <br />· A video of the truck will be made to send to interested departments, once it has been cleaned <br /> and waxed. <br /> <br /> <br />
