This
consisted of a $4,000 payment in 1997, 1998, and 1999, from the Lawful Gambling
Improvement Fund. On October 12, 2000, the Park and Recreation Commission discussed the
current request and received citizen input. The consensus of the Commission was that the
$12,000 would have a better impact if spent on a Capital Improvement within Ramsey rather
than on an activity outside City limits.

Councilmember Connolly inquired if the City of Ramsey had a similar agreement with the City
of Elk River.

Finance Committee/October 24, 2000
