<br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY, INC., FOR
<br />NDTH
<br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #22-06, WOOD POND HILLS 2 – 5 STREET
<br />RECONSTRUCTIONS
<br />
<br />ndrdth
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct Wood Pond Hills 2, 3, 4
<br />th
<br />and 5 Subdivisions as identified within the 2022 – 2031 Capital Improvement Program; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-194, adopted July 13, 2021,
<br />the City Council ordered the City Engineer to request proposals for Topographic Survey,
<br />Geotechnical Evaluations and Utility Testing for proposed 2022 Pavement Management Program
<br />projects, including IP 22-06; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-224, adopted August 10,
<br />2021, the City Council awarded a proposal to Hakanson Anderson for Topographic Survey, and
<br />Haugo Geotechnical Services for a geotechnical report of the project area; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-240 adopted August 24,
<br />2021, the City Council awarded a proposal to Hydro-Klean, LLC for cleaning and televising the
<br />sanitary and storm sewer, and Water Conservation Services, Inc. for watermain leak testing of the
<br />project area; and
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-307, adopted October 26
<br />2021 the City Engineer has received and reviewed the Topographic Survey and has prepared plans
<br />and specifications for the purpose of advertising for bids for same improvements; and
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-075, adopted March 22,
<br />2022, the Ramsey City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City
<br />Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and
<br />
<br />th
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-104, adopted May 10,
<br />2022, the City Council authorized entering into a construction contract with North Valley, Inc. of
<br />Nowthen, Minnesota, for the reconstruction at the contract price of $568,135.15; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, as of January 10, 2023, $524,069.99 has been paid to date; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends final payment to North Valley, Inc., of Nowthen, Minnesota, for said project, in the
<br />amount of $46,060.16.
