Public Safety Board Member Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />PSB RESOLUTION #06-01-001 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONTRIBUTION <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 800 MHz RADIO TOWER <br /> <br />OF LAND FOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey Public Safety Board met on January 12, 2006, and <br />received a proposal of construction of a new 800 MHz radio tower for the purpose of enhanced <br />radio coverage for public safety; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contribution of land consists of an 80' x 80' piece of property on the <br />northeast comer of the current City Hall campus; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Safety Board sees this as a very important safety issue for First <br />Responders in the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Safety Board is requesting support from the Ramsey Planning <br />Commission and the Ramsey City Council with regard to this project. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PUBLIC SAFETY BOARD OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Public Safety Board supports the contribution of land for the purpose of the <br />800 MHz radio tower construction. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Public Safety Board believes this is an important safety issue for First <br />Responders for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Public Safety Board requests the support of this project from the Ramsey <br />Planning Commission and the Ramsey City Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Public Safety <br />Board Member Lewandowski and agreed upon by all members of the Public Safety Board. <br /> <br /> Thereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and/~ted by .~.~ ~ey Public Safety <br /> Board this the 12th day of January, 2006. <br /> <br /> //~~~. ~~~.~TTE ~ ~ ~ Chair, Public Safety Board <br />~.
