CITY COUNCIL <br /> WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Monday, January 31, 2000, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The work session was called to order at 5:45 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1. Capital Improvements Program (CIP) <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman mentioned having a work session relating to goals. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman agreed it would be a good session to have and noted that he had <br />included it under future topics. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired why there is more discussion on the CIP as she thought it <br />had been adopted a while ago. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman explained that it had been reviewed, but not adopted. <br /> <br />Councilmemloer Zimmerman felt there is a need to review the CIP on a quarterly basis. <br /> <br />Page 35 - Sunwood Drive landfill area development - listed as 2001 should be shown as 2000 as <br />per Mr. Norman. <br /> <br />Consensus was paying for the signal at Thurston and Dysprosium should not be in the CIP. <br />Council suggested waiting until the County says they are interested and then let them know we <br />are interested in helping with funding. Councilmember Hendriksen wondered why Ramsey <br />should pay entirely for a signalized intersection that is 50% County and 25% City of Anoka. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/January 31, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
