Norman
Finance Officer Diana Lund
Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik

CALL TO ORDER

The work session was called to order at 5:45 p.m.

COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION

1. Capital Improvements Program (CIP)

Councilmember Zimmerman mentioned having a work session relating to goals.

City Administrator Norman agreed it would be a good session to have and noted that he had
included it under future topics.

Councilmember Anderson inquired why there is more discussion on the CIP as she thought it
had been adopted a while ago.

Mr. Norman explained that it had been reviewed, but not adopted.

Councilmemloer Zimmerman felt there is a need to review the CIP on a quarterly basis.

Page 35 - Sunwood Drive landfill area development - listed as 2001 should be shown as 2000 as
per Mr. Norman.

Consensus was paying for the signal at Thurston and Dysprosium should not be in the CIP.
Council suggested waiting until the County says they are interested and then let them know we
are interested in helping with funding. Councilmember Hendriksen wondered why Ramsey
should pay entirely for a signalized intersection that is 50% County and 25% City of Anoka.

City Council Work Session/January 31, 2000
Page 1 of 7
