CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Rm~sey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 6:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was nolle. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />#1 .' Development Proposal <br /> <br />John Darkenwald, Darkenwald inc., explained that, six weeks ago, he acquired 18 acres along the <br />border of Elk River. The concept was to buy the property for investment and construct three <br />buildings on the property. After further investigating the property and meeting with a Planner <br />and the City Administrator, he was advised to explore the possibility of developing 30 acres if <br />T'IF assistance were to be made available. <br /> <br />John Dietrich, land planner with RLK, reviewed the location of the 18 acres and the location of <br />the additional l 1 acres. <br /> <br />City Council/July 11, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
