Weekly UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report <br />April 21, 2023 <br />Council Update <br />Celebrate the 53rd Earth Day: This event <br />has been rescheduled due to inclement <br />weather. <br />City of Ramsey Employees — Let's Help Clean Up the Earth, <br />Friday, April 28, 9:30 — 11:00 am at City Hall or 12:30 — <br />2:00 pm at Public Works. Remember to wear appropriate <br />footwear (this is casual Friday). Gloves and garbage bags <br />will be provided —sign-up by contacting Nicole Laubach at <br />nlaubach@cityoframsey.com. Attached to the Weekly Update <br />is the City ofRamsey Employee Earth Day flyer. <br />Parks & Recreation Events and Updates <br />• Earth Day <br />Join Ramsey Parks and Recreation in celebrating the 53rd <br />Earth Day by cleaning up public spaces in Ramsey. This <br />clean-up is community -wide, so you decide which street, <br />trail or park you help beautify. Clean-up dates are Friday, <br />April 21-Saturday, April 22. Registration is required. <br />• Kites and Bites <br />Help us fill the spring sky with colorful kites at Elmcrest <br />Park on Saturday, Apri129, from 11:00 am — 2:00 pm! <br />There will be plenty of fun for everyone with food trucks, <br />kites, face painting, games and more. Kites will be available <br />for free for kids while supplies last. <br />• City-wide Garage Sale <br />Registration for the City-wide Garage Sale is open until <br />Sunday, April 23. Garage sale is scheduled for Friday, May 5 <br />and Saturday, May 6. <br />Registration information for our upcoming programs can be <br />found on the Parks and Recreation Events page — <br />www.cityoframsey.com/ParkEvents. Attached to the Weekly <br />Update are the Parks and Recreation Event Flyers. <br />City of #k <br />RAMSEY <br />We're Hiring! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Police Officer (2 openings) <br />The primary objective of this position is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and safety <br />of the community through prevention and control of crime, <br />maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, <br />regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency <br />services; as well as other related duties as required. This is <br />a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring <br />wage is $32.46 per hour. Application deadline is open <br />until filled, apply immediately if interested. <br />• Seasonal Maintenance Workers (2 openings) <br />The primary objective of this position is to provide general <br />maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, <br />and related facilities and equipment through the spring, <br />summer and possibly fall months. This also includes <br />mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or <br />working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; <br />picking up trash; street and utilities maintenance. These are <br />temporary non -union positions working up to forty (40) <br />hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to <br />3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older by June <br />1st and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 <br />hiring wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on <br />qualifications.
