PERSONNEL COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in the Trott Brook Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Acting Chair David Jeffrey Councilmember Colin McGlone Members Absent: Councilmember John Dehen Also Present: Human Resources Technician Colleen Lasher Deputy City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson CALL TO ORDER Acting Chair Jeffrey called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:32 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT There was none. APPROVE AGENDA Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Acting Chair Jeffrey to approve the agenda as submitted. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmember McGlone and Acting Chair Jeffrey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Dehen. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Case #1: Consider Appointment of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. as Agent/Broker of Record for Health and Dental Insurance Programs and COBRA Administration and Terminate Agent of Record Relationship with CBIZ Human Resources Technician Lasher summarized the RFP process for the Agent/Broker of Record. The City received eight RFP responses and interviewed three of the firms. She noted the Personnel Committee reviewed this case on June 8, 2010, and staff was directed at that time to provide additional information regarding the evaluation. She referenced the evaluation information contained in Addendum A. Ms. Lasher pointed out that Gallagher offers unlimited human resources support, training, and consulting through their "HRadvantage" feature at no additional cost to the City. Another valuable feature is web based "Connect2MyBenefits" which provides employees with personalized benefit information offering services directly to Personnel Committee / June 22, 2010 Page 1 of 4
