Weekly UPDATE Administrator's Report May 12, 2023 Council Update We're Hiring! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: . Administrative Assistant Public Works This position's primary objective is to perform various responsible administrative support functions within the Public Works Department. The work requires excellent customer service and phone communications skills, general knowledge of Microsoft applications, and a variety of office procedures. This is a full-time AFSCME union position. The 2023 hiring range is $23.96 to $29.95 per hour. The application deadline is Wednesday, May 17, 2023. . City Planner The primary objective of this position is to perform various professional tasks related to municipal planning, including current and long-range planning, implementation of the City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan, and administration of zoning and subdivision regulations. This is a full-time, non- union, non -supervisory exempt level position. The 2023 hiring range is $38.096 to $47.620 per hour. The application deadline is Monday, May 29, 2023. • Police Officer (2 openings) The primary objective of this position is to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring wage is $32.46 per hour. T e application deadline is open until filled, apply immediately if interested. • Seasonal Maintenance Workers (2 openings) The primary objective of this position is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; streets and utilities maintenance. These are temporary non -union positions working up to forty (40) hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older by June 1 and have City of #1,< RAMSEY a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. The flags will be affixed to the light poles on Sunwood Drive NW and can serve as a symbol to honor the memory of a loved one or show civic pride. There are two donation levels for individuals or businesses, the Friends -of -the -Flag Level Sponsorship for $50 and Patriot Level Sponsorship is $500.
