PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Chairperson Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Development Services Manager Timothy Gladhill <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Development Manager Darren Lazan <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Tossey called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />3. APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to approve the <br />agenda as submitted. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Tossey, Councilmembers McGlone and Strommen. <br />Voting No: None. <br />4. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br />4.01: Consider an Authorization to Hire Paid -on -call Firefighters <br />Human Resources Representative Lasher reviewed the staff report. <br />Fire Chief Kapler indicated that with this hire, Ramsey Stations #1 and #2 will be at full staffing <br />and Station #3 in Nowthen will need three more to be recruited. Fire Chief Kapler noted that all <br />of the costs for Station #3 are borne by the City of Nowthen through reimbursement of the Joint <br />Powers Agreement. <br />Personnel Committee / September 25, 2012 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
