Weekly UPDATE Administrator's Report June 23, 2023 Council Update We're Hiring! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Recreation Coordinator The primary objective of this position is to coordinate and perform a variety of responsibilities in the development, facilitation and ongoing administration of diverse annual recreational programs serving all ages and demographics. This position develops programs, organizes content and engages public and private providers and creates and maintains methods for evaluating offerings for future programming consideration. The 2023 hiring wage is $29.248 to $36.785 per hour. The application deadline is open until filled. Apply immediately if interested. • Police Officer (2 openings) The primary objective of this position is to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. The application deadline is open until filled, apply immediately if interested. • Seasonal Maintenance Workers (2 openings) The primary objective of this position is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; streets and utilities maintenance. These are temporary non -union positions working up to forty (40) hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older on first day of employment and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $15.00 per hour. Elmcrest Art Fair This Saturday, June 24 the City of Ramsey and Rumriver Art Center brings you the 6th Annual Elmcrest Art Fair, 10:00 am-4:00 pm. The event features fantastic works for sale from numerous artists, but there will also be food trucks, live music, artist demos, free art classes, raffle drawings and more! Free art classes for kids and adults are scheduled for 11:00-11:45 am and 1:00-1:45 pm at the Elmcrest Park Community Building. Elmcrest Park is located at 16303 Quicksilver Street NW, Ramsey.
