Councilman Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #81-3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING SELECTION OF SANITARY LANDFILL SITES IN ANOKA COUNTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka is in the process of selecting <br />preliminary candidate sites for sanitary landfills; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka is considering the area bordered <br />by Dolphin Street N.W., 169th Avenue N.W., Llama Street N.W. and 173rd Avenue <br />N.W. in the City of Ramsey as a possible candidate site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the site under consideration has at least six resi- <br />dential dwellings and approximately fifteen landowners; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the site is located within the Rural Service Area of <br />the City of Ramsey and is not scheduled for sewer or water services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS in comparing the site to the County's site selection <br />criteria, it appears that the site is highly undesirable~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in comparing the site to the County's site selection <br />criteria, it appears that the site is highly undesirable; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is presently an existing sanitary landfill in <br />operation in the City of Ramsey which serves a large portion of the metro- <br />politan area. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The County of Anoka delete the site bordered by Dolphin <br />Street N.W., 169th Avenue N.W., Llama Street N.W., and 173rd Avenue N.W. in <br />the City of Ramsey from its list of possible candidate sites. <br /> <br /> 2) Direct the City Administrator to send a copy of this reso- <br />lution 'to the Anoka County Landfill Siting Committee. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilperson Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec, Councilpersons Sorteberg, Van Wagner, Reimann <br /> and Cox <br /> <br />and 'the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 24th day of February, 1981. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />tot/Clerk ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
