Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #81-12 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMe, ENDING (COACHING STAFF'S NA~) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ (Coaching Staff's Name) a member of the 1980-1981 <br />Anoka Tornado High School Team's Coaching Staff displayed the leader- <br />ship and integrity with such enthusiasm that it--reated an esprit de <br />corps which resulted in a team that was unbeatable; and <br /> <br /> W~REAS, the Anoka Tornado High School Basketball Team won <br />the highest honor in the State of Mir~aesota by winning the 1981 Class AA <br />State Championship. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITIZENS AND CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1)We, the Citizens and City Council of the City of Ramsey, <br />take great pride in congratulating you on your feat in winning the State <br />of Minnesota Class AA State Basketball Championship. <br /> <br /> 2) We, the Citizens and City Council of the City of Ramsey, <br />take great pride in the fine leadership and integrity which you instill <br />in our young men who demonstrated this in the fine sportsmanship that <br />they displayed in accomplishing the above feat. <br /> <br /> 3) We, the Citizens and City Council of the City of Ramsey, <br />are greatly honored to have men of your caliber serving in our education <br />system and training our young people to be the Nation's future leaders. <br />We salute you for your outstanding abilities as a leader among men and <br />we are very proud to have you in our community as a citizen. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- <br />ing voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Van Wagner, Reimann and <br />Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 31st day of March, 1981. <br /> <br />ATTES f: , <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
