Counci]member Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #81-16 RESOLUTION APPROVING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH FEDERAL CARTRIDGE CORPORATION WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is desireous of obtaining additional land for park and open space use; and WHEREAS, the Federal Cartridge Corporation is the owner of cer- tain property within the City which is suitable for such use; and WHEREAS, Federal Cartridge is willing to donate said property to the City for such public use purposes contingent only on being relieved of the special assessments presently levied against the property. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to ex- ecute a purchase agreement with Federal Cartridge CorpOration for the purchase of the following described property: The Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (SW1/4 of NE 1/4) and the West 185 feet of the Southeast Quarter of said Northwest Quarter (SE 1/4 of NW 1/4) all in Section 16, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota 2) That the consideration for the purchase shall be the abate- ment of the special assessments assessed against the property, and the seller Federal Cartridge Corporation shall not be obligated to pay said assessments. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Cox and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van WAgner, Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of April, 1981.
