Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION %84-15 WHEREAS, Council Resolutions #84-13 and %84-14 dated February 28, 1984 accepted the computer hardware and software bid from Tele-Terminals and the computer software bid from MaSys for police system; and WHEREAS, City Staff submitted the following options for the purchasing of computer hardware, software and other ancillary cost items (supplies, training and equipment): a) Purchase of total equipment, software and ancillary costs as provided for in the 1984 City Budget -See Supplement %6, page II-3, 1984 Annual City Budget, or b) Purchase the above stated hardware equipment and software and other costs as stated: 1) Use five-year lease option buy for the purchase of computer hardware equipment as stated in the bid proposal shown in enclosure (1) to Resolution %84-13 versus out-right cash purchase. 2) Use Administrative Trust Fund moneys to purchase all computer software and other ancillary cost items which would require the execution of a loan agreement between the Administrative Trust Fund and General Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) It is hereby directed that the following administrative action be taken in the purchasing of the computer sys tern: a) Computer hardware purchased from Tele- Terminals as stated in bid in the amount of $48,933 will be purchased through the five-year lease buy option. b) Computer software and other ancillary cost items directly related to the computer system will be a cash purchase. 2) Enclosure (1) contains the loan agreement which sets forth the provision for the General Fund to borrow money from the Administrative Trust Fund and the provision for the paying back of these funds.
