Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION %84-15 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council Resolutions #84-13 and %84-14 dated <br />February 28, 1984 accepted the computer hardware and software bid <br />from Tele-Terminals and the computer software bid from MaSys for <br />police system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Staff submitted the following options for <br />the purchasing of computer hardware, software and other ancillary <br />cost items (supplies, training and equipment): <br /> <br /> a) Purchase of total equipment, software and <br />ancillary costs as provided for in the 1984 City Budget <br />-See Supplement %6, page II-3, 1984 Annual City <br />Budget, or <br /> <br /> b) Purchase the above stated hardware equipment <br />and software and other costs as stated: <br /> <br />1) Use five-year lease option buy for the <br /> purchase of computer hardware equipment <br /> as stated in the bid proposal shown in <br /> enclosure (1) to Resolution %84-13 versus <br /> out-right cash purchase. <br /> <br />2) Use Administrative Trust Fund moneys to <br /> purchase all computer software and other <br /> ancillary cost items which would require <br /> the execution of a loan agreement between <br /> the Administrative Trust Fund and General <br /> Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) It is hereby directed that the following <br />administrative action be taken in the purchasing of the computer <br />sys tern: <br /> <br /> a) Computer hardware purchased from Tele- <br />Terminals as stated in bid in the amount of $48,933 <br />will be purchased through the five-year lease buy <br />option. <br /> <br /> b) Computer software and other ancillary cost <br />items directly related to the computer system will be a <br />cash purchase. <br /> <br /> 2) Enclosure (1) contains the loan agreement which <br />sets forth the provision for the General Fund to borrow money <br />from the Administrative Trust Fund and the provision for the <br />paying back of these funds. <br /> <br /> <br />
