Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~84- 24 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, State of <br />Minnesota, adopted Resolution ~83-Z1Z to acquire tax forfeit property PIN <br />Z4-3Z-ZS-33-0013 (Plat 89ZZ4, Parcel 6170) for the purpose of public use (mainly for <br />drainage purposes); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney has informed the City of Ramsey by letter dated <br />February 10, 1984 that Mr. Gilbert Menkveld does want to retain his property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Gilbert Menkveld has contacted the City Administrator of the <br />City of Ramsey stating that he wants to fully retain his property and that the taxes <br />on said property were inadvertently not paid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a portion of the property is to be used for drainage purposes in <br />conjunction with the platting of Pondvale Estates Second Addition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer of Pondvale Estates Second Addition has been requested <br />by the City to provide drainage easements to the City over a portion of the tax forfeit <br />property as a condition to plat approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City Council hereby rescinds its Resolution ~83-Z1Z dated December <br />Z0, 1983 which was to acquire the above stated tax forfeit property with the exception <br />of the area required for Pondvale Estates Second Addition drainage. <br /> <br /> Z) The City Council hereby directs the City Engineer to prepare a legal <br />description of the area required for drainage from Pondvale Estates Second Addition. <br /> <br /> 3) It is directed that a certified copy of this resolution, Council meeting minutes <br />and legal description for drainage easement be sent to the County Auditor's office <br />at Anoka County. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, Van Wagner and Schlueter <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the ZSth day of February, 1984. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
