Councilmember Schlueter introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION %85-4 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED FOR WATER METERS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for water meters, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bidder Water Products Co. Type Rockwell "TTR" Amount of Bid $6,550.00 Water Products Co. Rockwell "ECR" $7,540.00 Davies Water Equip. Neptune "T-10" $6,657.00 North Star Waterworks Badger Model 25 $5,683.00 Badger Meter, Inc. Badger Model 25 $5,340.00 AND WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that the three lowest bidders did not meet the specifications. NOW ~'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOEA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby accepts the price quote from Davies Water Equi[~nent in the amount of $6,657.00. 2) That the City Council qualified the above action by them due to the fact the three lowest bidders did not meet the specifications. 3) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to inform those who bid on the Council action. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Schlueter, Reimann, Cox and Sorteberg and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adotped by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of January, 1985. -Mayor/~/ ~ I hereby acknowledge receipt of this resolution: "~C~ty/'~(~/~Acc°untant' ..... -~?
