Councilmember Sortebert introduced the following resolution and <br />~ved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #85-22 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING PARCEL BE DELETED PROM THE SCENIC RIVER <br />LAND USE DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources <br />has designated certain areas of adjacent land to the Rum River in <br />the City of Ramsey as Scenic River Land Use Districts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the present boundary of the Scenic River Land <br />Use District does not follow the present line of development in <br />the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these areas are within the Urban Area of the <br />City of Ramsey and are served by all municipal utilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost to provide these utilities mandate <br />the development of such property to its maximum potential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a majority of the property in question is <br />zoned for commercial and/or multiple residential development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the regulations of the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources are unduly restrictive for the reasonable <br />development of that area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and the owner and developer <br />of such property are cognizant of the need to redefine the Scenic <br />River Land Use District boundary. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the following described land in Section 25 <br />and Section 36 in Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />be deleted from the Scenic River Land Use District designation: <br /> <br />That part of Government Lots 3 and 4, Section 25, and <br />of Government Lot 6, Section 36, all in Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as <br />follows: Beginning at a point on the centerline of <br />St. Francis Boulevard N.W. distant 800.00 feet north- <br />westerly, as measured along said centerline, from its <br />intersection with the south line of said Government <br />Lot 6; thence northerly to a point on a line drawn <br />parallel with and distant 350.00 feet northeasterly of <br />said centerline as measured at right angles to said <br />centerline, said point is 417.00 feet southeasterly of <br />the centerline of 142nd Avenue N.W. as measured along <br />said parallel line; thence northwesterly along said <br />Resolution #85-22 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
