Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-02-024 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE DECENTRALIZED BRUSH CHIPPING PROGRAM CONTRACT TO AN AMOUNT OF $24,000.00 WIIEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded the City of Ramsey a demonstration grant in the amount of $24,000.00; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received competitive bids from independent contractors for performing the work; and WHEREAS, the contractor previously had been awarded a contract not to exceed $23,000.00 and has expended the funds available for bmshchipping services from the first contract; and WHEREAS, the contractor has expended $525.00 chipping Christmas trees; and WHEREAS, the contractor has presently expended $22,084.89 and surplus brush at the Central Park drop-off site remains unchipped; and WItEREAS, $24,000.00 dollars have been budgeted for contracted services in the plans approved by the City Council on April 10, 1990. NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, follows: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, as 1) That the Mayor and Acting City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to amend the contract with Outside Services, Inc. to a not-to-exceed total amount of $24,000.00 in the name of the City of Ramsey for the Decentralized Brash Chipping Program according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council on April 10, 1990. 2) That tile remaining monies be utilized to chip brash and Christmas trees remaining at the Central Park brush drop-off site. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Cich Councihnember Hardin Councilmember Beyer and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and tile following were absent: Nolle
