Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #91-02-024 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE DECENTRALIZED BRUSH CHIPPING <br />PROGRAM CONTRACT TO AN AMOUNT OF $24,000.00 <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded the City of Ramsey a <br />demonstration grant in the amount of $24,000.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received competitive bids from independent <br />contractors for performing the work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contractor previously had been awarded a contract not to exceed <br />$23,000.00 and has expended the funds available for bmshchipping services from the first <br />contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the contractor has expended $525.00 chipping Christmas trees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contractor has presently expended $22,084.89 and surplus <br />brush at the Central Park drop-off site remains unchipped; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, $24,000.00 dollars have been budgeted for contracted services in the <br />plans approved by the City Council on April 10, 1990. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />follows: <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and Acting City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />amend the contract with Outside Services, Inc. to a not-to-exceed total amount of <br />$24,000.00 in the name of the City of Ramsey for the Decentralized Brash Chipping <br />Program according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council on <br />April 10, 1990. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That tile remaining monies be utilized to chip brash and Christmas trees remaining at <br />the Central Park brush drop-off site. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councihnember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and tile following were absent: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
