PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January 5, 1999, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding a <br />request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed Sign Size Restrictions; Case of Northland <br />Security Bank. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Interim Chairperson Leo Anderson <br />Commissioner Chris Dempsey <br />Comnnssioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Robert Johnson <br />Cormmssioner Bill Kociscak <br />Commissioner Michael Nixt <br />Commissioner Joe Wivoda <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Community Development Director Cindy Sherman <br />Community Development Assistant Sean Walther <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Interim Chairperson Anderson convened the public hearing at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained an application was received from Northland Security Bank <br />for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign size restrictions on their ground sign at 14125 St. <br />Francis Boulevard NW. The City Code restricts the sign surface area on ground or freestanding <br />signs to 100 square feet in the commercial district. The existing sign at Northland is 100 square <br />feet. Northland is proposing to add a 14 square foot 'Instant Cash' message to their existing sign. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to close the public heating <br />at 7:38 p.m. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/January 5, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
