ORDINANCE #00-13 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY <br />CODE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.15 (TOWERS) OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Subsection 9.15.03, Towers in Residential Zoning Districts, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />9.15.03 <br /> <br />Towers in Residential Zoning Districts. Construction of towers to support <br />commercial antennas that conform to all applicable provisions of this Code may <br />be allowed only the following locations: <br /> <br />Parcels at least 10 acres in size within the Tower Overlay District <br />as shown on the official Zoning Map. <br /> <br />All church, park, government, school, utility, and institutional <br />sites at least ! 0 acres in size. <br /> <br />Subsection 9.15.04.c.2.(a), Use of City Owned Land for Wireless Telecommunications Antennas <br />and Towers, Special Requirements, Parks, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Parks adjacent to an existing commercial or <br /> industrial use; <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Parks in Residential zones that are a minimum <br />of 10 acres in size, except that antem~as may be <br />attached to existing structures in parks that are <br />not 10 acres in size provided the antenna does <br />not extend more than 15 feet above the highest <br />point of the structure or tower.. <br /> <br />(c) Park maintenance facilities <br /> <br />Subsection 9.15.05.a and 9.15.05.b, Co-location Requirements, are amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />A proposal for a new commercial wireless telecommunication <br />service tower shall not be approved unless the City Council finds <br />that the telecommunications equipment planned for the proposed <br />tower cmmot be accommodated on an existing or approved tower <br />or building within a one mile search radius of the proposed tower <br />due to one or more of the following reasons: <br /> <br /> <br />
