• <br />Subd. 1. Definitions. <br />ORDINANCE #02 -05 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE MUNICIPAL <br />REGULATIONS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.09.01 "KEEPING OF CERTAIN ANIMALS, <br />LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY" OF CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. REPEAL <br />Section 5.09.01 (Keeping Of Certain Animals, Livestock And Poultry), shall be repealed. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br />Section 5.09.01 (Keeping Of Certain Animals, Livestock And Poultry), shall be replaced with <br />the following text: <br />411 <br />Pony — A horse that does not exceed 54 inches or 13.2 hands in height. <br />Subd. 2. Prohibited Animals. None of the following animals shall be maintained <br />on any parcel of land in the City that is not at least 3.0 acres (130,680 square feet) in size: <br />horses, llamas, cows, mules, donkeys, burrows, ponies, goats, pigs, sheep, lambs, turkey, geese, <br />chickens, and ducks. <br />Subd. 3. Animal Unit. Animal unit is defined as a measure used to compare <br />differences in production of animal wastes. The following chart establishes the number of <br />animal units assigned to certain livestock and poultry: <br />Animal Number of Units <br />Cow 1.5 <br />Horse, Mule, Llama 1.0 <br />Donkey, Bun Pony, Goat, Pig, Sheep, Lamb .5 <br />Turkey, Goose .1 <br />Chicken, Duck .04 <br />Subd. 4. Permitted Animals. The following chart prescribes the number of animal <br />units that can be maintained on lots of record to which the animal owner has fee title and desires <br />
