• <br />• <br />ORDINANCE #02 -17 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9, WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE, CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.20.04 MAP, SECTION 9.20.11 "R -1R <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ", SECTION 9.20.12 "R -1U RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ", <br />SECTION 9.20.13 "R -2U RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ", SECTION 9.20.14 "R -3U <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ", SECTION 9.20.15 "MR MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT ", AND SECTION 9.20.31 "PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT ". <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. REPEAL. <br />Section 9.20.11 "R -1R Residential District ", Section 9.20.12 "R -1U Residential District ", Section <br />9.20.13 "R -2U Residential District ", Section 9.20.14 "R -3U Residential District ", Section 9.20.15 <br />"MR Multiple Residential District ", and Section 9.20.31 "Planned Unit Development" are hereby <br />repealed. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. <br />Section 9.20.11 "R -1R Residential District" is replaced with the following text: <br />9.20.11 R -1 Residential District <br />Subdivision 1. Intent. The intent of this district is to accommodate single family <br />dwelling units on suitable land in the 2020 Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA), rural <br />developing, central rural reserve area, and rural preserve areas of the City. All newly created lots, <br />except the remnant of a lot of record not less than five (5) acres in size and located within the 2020 <br />MUSA, shall be serviced by sanitary sewer and municipal water. All developing lots located within <br />the rural preserve, rural developing and central rural preserve areas shall be served with individual <br />septic systems and wells. <br />Subd. 2. Permitted Uses. <br />a. Single Family detached dwellings. <br />b. Agriculture, excluding the raising of livestock, poultry, and fowl within the <br />MUSA boundary unless compliance with Ramsey City Code Chapter 5 <br />(Animals and Fowl) can be maintained. <br />c. Public Parks, Municipal Fire Station. <br />d. Single Family /Townhome units as part of a PUD located within the 2020 <br />MUSA. <br />e. State Licensed group homes in accordance with State Statute. <br />f. Licensed home daycares in accordance with State Statute. <br />
