ORDINANCE $191-15 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 3.20 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE <br />WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE PERSONNEL POLICY <br />CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3.20 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota hereby ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. SUMMARY <br /> <br />The following official summary of Ordinance #91-15 has been approved by the City <br />Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #91-15 to update the Chapter in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes on Parenting Leave, Veteran's Preference, Workers' Compensation and <br />Retirement. It is also intended to provide a definition section on Employee status regarding <br />full~time, part-time and temporary employment; and to amend stipulations on the Education <br />Policy. <br /> <br />A printed copy of Ordinance #91-15 is available for inspection by any person at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after publication <br />according to law. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 3.20 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />3.20 <br /> <br />Personnel Policy <br /> <br />3.20.01 Purpose. It is the purpose of this chapter to establish a <br />uniform and equitable system of personnel administration for employees of <br />the city. <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Definitions. <br /> <br />Regular Full-Time Employee: Any employee working a <br /> regularly scheduled work week of 40 hours per week. <br /> This employee is eligible for vacation time, sick leave, <br /> holiday pay and health and life insurance coverage. <br /> <br />Temporary Full-Time Employee: Any employee working a <br /> regularly scheduled work week, for an alloted period of <br /> <br /> <br />
